Fundu Lagoon is an eighteen bedroom Robinson Crusoe hideaway on Pemba Island, close to Zanzibar. Highlife Luxury Travel Marketing launched this idyllic retreat into the UK market representing Fundu Lagoon from 2002 until 2011 across Europe, East Africa and South Africa as well as the UK. During our tenure we succeeded in raising occupancy levels to over 80%.
Highlife managed Fundu Lagoon’s reservations and Twitter account, arranged and escorted agent FAM trips, were instrumental in setting rates and special offers, set up the weddings programme at the resort in conjunction with Zanzibar Weddings, as well as launching Safari and Beach packages with Nomad’s and Sand Rivers Camp. Fundu Lagoon became a natural choice for clients looking for safari/beach combinations and we worked with all major African operators building up superb relationships over the years. We also attended PURE Life Experiences exhibition in Marrakesh and WTM
London annually.
